ORGANISATION:

The Board of Management is the Apex body to govern the activities of the institute. The general superintendence, direction, control and management of the affairs of the institute are vested with the Board of Governors. The Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries is the Chairman of the Board of Management.

Subject to the direction and control of the Board of Governors, the management of the affairs of the institute is carried out through an Executive Committee constituted by the Board. The committee exercises such powers as are specified or delegated to it by the Board from time to time. The Secretary and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India are the Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee respectively.

The institute has the following six divisions:

 Millet
 Pulses
 Oilseeds
 Food Analysis
 Agricultural Engineering
